Why No Bars Club built this
No Bars Club isn't trying to build one giant mesh community. We're building the connections between the communities that already exist.

Creators are a major part of how mesh communities grow. This page helps people discover their work, learn from them and continue directly to their original channels, projects and communities.

Start with the basics

Meshtastic or MeshCore?

You do not need to pick a side. You need to understand what each one is good at and what your local community already uses.

MT

Meshtastic

Open source mesh communication commonly used for text messaging, location sharing, telemetry and community networks on inexpensive LoRa hardware.

  • Huge hardware and app ecosystem
  • Strong beginner community
  • Channels, telemetry and location features
  • Great for experimentation and local mesh communities
MC

MeshCore

Open source LoRa mesh protocol and firmware built around companions, dedicated repeaters, room servers and standalone devices.

  • Dedicated routing infrastructure model
  • Companions and repeaters have distinct roles
  • Growing app and hardware ecosystem
  • Strong fit for planned community infrastructure
