Why this exists

Communication without the bars.

No Bars Club is an independent community project focused on learning, building and extending practical off-grid communication with low-power LoRa radios.

Off-grid communication. Local infrastructure. Real-world builds.

What we're building

A community resource for people interested in MeshCore, Meshtastic, antennas, repeaters, solar-powered nodes and resilient local communication. The emphasis is on practical deployment: what hardware works, how to power it, where placement matters, and how individual nodes become useful infrastructure when people coordinate.

What this is not

This is not cellular replacement and it should not be presented as guaranteed emergency infrastructure. Radio performance depends heavily on terrain, antennas, placement, configuration and network density.

Open community

The best mesh networks grow when people document what works, share coverage, help newcomers and build useful infrastructure together. No Bars Club supports collaboration with the wider Connecticut mesh community rather than trying to replace it.

A good rooftop, hilltop, business location, tower, solar-friendly site or simply another active node can make a difference.
