ZERO
COMM.

ZeroComm is a streamlined iPhone client for Meshtastic that emphasizes offline operation, messaging and maps without accounts or cloud dependence.

Why we're testing it

Feature-heavy clients are useful, but simplicity matters too. ZeroComm is interesting because it aims at a narrower, emergency-ready workflow instead of trying to become an everything app.

NBC verdict: pending.
We're testing whether the simpler interface holds up when connections drop, messages queue and the phone is actually offline.

Test plan

  • Bluetooth connection and recovery
  • Channel and direct messaging
  • Delivery confirmations
  • Offline map behavior
  • Waypoint history and export
  • Background notifications and unread handling

Best comparison

ZeroComm will be judged against the official Meshtastic app on the basics first. If it cannot beat the baseline on simplicity or offline usability, extra switching is hard to justify.
