NBC TESTING

RAMBLE
MESH CHAT.

Ramble - Mesh Chat is a multi-node mesh chat app that pairs with Meshtastic or MeshCore nodes to connect to local LoRa mesh networks. No Bars Club is testing it across both ecosystems.

What Ramble is

Ramble is built around mesh messaging and can pair with both Meshtastic and MeshCore nodes. That cross-protocol approach makes it especially interesting for users who operate hardware across both ecosystems and want to compare the experience from one app.

NBC verdict: testing.
The app identity and official beta links are now verified. A final recommendation will come after more real-world use.

What we're testing

  • Meshtastic radio pairing and connection reliability
  • MeshCore radio pairing and connection reliability
  • Multi-node workflow and switching between nodes
  • Messaging behavior on local LoRa mesh networks
  • Node discovery and network visibility
  • Offline behavior and reconnect performance
  • How the experience compares with the official Meshtastic and MeshCore clients

Install Ramble

The Apple beta is distributed through TestFlight. Android nightly APK builds are provided through the Ramble/YayMe build page.

Hardware context

We'll test Ramble with the same radios and field setups used throughout the No Bars Club App Lab so the comparison is based on actual mesh use rather than app-store descriptions.
