TESTING

MESH
OS.

MeshOS sits in the MeshCore ecosystem with messaging, contacts, channels, monitoring and mapping capabilities. We're evaluating where it fits next to the official companion workflow and standalone-device options.

Why we're testing it

MeshOS is interesting because it reaches beyond a single narrow client workflow. That makes it worth testing for setup simplicity, day-to-day messaging and how well the broader feature set behaves in the field.

NBC verdict: pending.
We are keeping this page intentionally conservative while we verify platform-specific behavior and spend more time with the version in our test rotation.

Test plan

  • Radio setup and first-run workflow
  • Messaging, contacts and channels
  • Monitoring and map features
  • Connection recovery
  • Internet-linked features versus off-grid behavior
  • Differences from the standard MeshCore companion app

Hardware context

As with every mesh client, the app is only one layer of the system. Radio hardware, firmware role, antenna and placement still determine what the network can actually do.
